Podem ser emitidos gases explosivos durante todo o carregamento.
2.
NUNCA fume nem permita a presença de faíscas ou chamas próximo de uma bateria.
3.
Nunca carregue uma bateria congelada.
4.
Ao trabalhar com baterias de chumbo-ácido, retire os itens pessoais metálicos, como
anéis, pulseiras, colares e relógios. As baterias de chumbo-ácido podem produzir uma
corrente de curto-circuito suficientemente alta para soldar um anel ou semelhante a
metal, causando queimaduras graves.

Tenha muito cuidado para não deixar cair ferramentas metálicas na bateria. Tal
poderia causar faísca ou curto-circuito na bateria ou outro componente elétrico, podendo
provocar uma explosão.
6.
Para impedir a formação de faísca, NUNCA deixe que as pinças toquem uma na outra
ou que toquem na mesma peça metálica.
7.
Use vestuário, luvas e óculos de proteção ao utilizar o carregador. Evite tocar nos olhos
quando estiver a trabalhar perto da bateria.
8.
Se o ácido da bateria entrar em contacto com a sua pele ou roupa, lave de imediato a
área afetada com água e sabão. Se o ácido entrar nos seus olhos, lave imediatamente os
olhos com água corrente fria abundante durante, no mínimo, 10 minutos e obtenha
assistência médica.
9.
Se engolir acidentalmente ácido da bateria, beba leite, claras de ovos ou água. NÃO
provoque o vómito. Obtenha assistência médica de imediato.
10.
Leia, entenda e siga todas as instruções relativas ao carregador, bateria, veículo e
qualquer equipamento usado próximo da bateria e do carregador.
11.
Determine a tensão da bateria consultando o manual de instruções do veículo e
certifique-se de que a tensão de saída do carregador está correta.
