4.3 Upgrading the Switch’s Firmware
Because the FradSwitch A/S 3 Port has flash memory, you can upgrade its firmware
without replacing its EPROMs. To do so, take these steps:
1. Connect a PC running terminal emulation to the switch’s control port.
Configure the terminal emulator to transmit and receive at 9600 bps using no
parity, 8 data bits, and 1 stop bit (“9600,N,8,1”).
2. When the asterisk “

” prompt appears on the screen, type
C0
and press

Enter
]. You will be prompted to enter a password; just hit [
Enter
] (the
Switch’s default password state is no password at all).
3. The Main Menu will appear:
