2. Overview
2.1 Description
The Hardened Ethernet Switch has four 10-/100-/1000-Mbps RJ-45 PoE ports and one Gigabit SFP open slot. To operate in harsh
environments, the switch provides two power inputs that can be connected simultaneously to live DC power sources. If one of
the power inputs fails, the other live source acts as a backup to automatically support the switch’s power needs. It also has a
built-in smart alarm that alerts you when power fails or a port disconnects. The switch is hardened for use in temperatures
ranging from -4 to +158° F (-20 to +70° C), has an IP31 aluminum case, and also has a DIN-rail and wallmounting installation kit.
2.2 Features
• Hardened metal enclosure for use in extreme temperatures ranging from -4 to +158° F (-20 to +70° C). Resists dust, dirt,
moisture, smoke, and insects.
• Provides four 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 PoE ports and one Gigabit SFP open slot. Each PoE port supports up to 30 W.
• Has redundant live DC power inputs. If one of the DC power inputs fails, the other source acts as a backup.
• A built-in smart alarm alerts you when power fails or a port connection breaks.
• LEDs indicate power, alarm, speed, and link/activity.
• Supports store-and-forward switching architecture.
• IP-31 aluminum alloy case.
• Compact unit mounts on a DIN rail or wall.
2.3 What’s Included
Your package includes one Hardened Ethernet Switch. It has (4) 10-/100-/1000-Mbps twisted-pair ports and (1) 1000-Mbps
Gigabit SFP slot.
