3. Installing the Converter

3.1 Installing Instruction

CAUTION

Wear a grounding device to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge.

Be sure that the power switch is OFF before you connect the power
cord to the power source.

Install the TP media cable to the IEEE 802.3af PSE device or PoE injector. (See Figure 3-1)

Install the media cable for network connection.

NOTE

Please make sure that the power of PSE device is turned on, or else the
converter will not work.

In case where no 802.3af PSE is available or PSE with PoE power fails, you may install an AC-DC adapter for
a backup solution.

CAUTION

Do not connect PSE TP with PoE and the AC-DC adapter at the same
time.

Verify that the AC-DC adapter conforms to your country AC power
requirement and then insert the power plug.

Install the media cable for network connection.
