HOST PLAY & LOCAL PLAY CONTENT
HostPlay and LocalPlay are powerful features of the Video and Audio over Ethernet system. It allows you
to upload your own media content to either a transmitter or a receiver. You may upload both images and
audio. Host Play and Local Play are essentially the same with Host Play applying to the transmitter and
Local Play applying to the Receiver. Below is the Local Play dialog.

Conductor will accept a variety of image formats including bitmaps, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, and PNG files. The
files will be converted to the proper dimension and format when they are uploaded. Images should have a
resolution of 1280 x 720. If they do not, by default, the images will be re-sampled without regards to
aspect ratio. You may select the option to maintain the image aspect ratio. This option will cause a 1280 x
720 image to be created with a border (top, bottom, left, and/or right) as needed. You may select a color for
the border or tell Conductor to use the background color attribute of the image.
You may enter a different display time for each image. By default, each new image added to the list will be
displayed 2 seconds or the time specified on the dialog in the “Default time per image” field. You can then
edit each image’s time by clicking on the time in the list. You can also select several images at one time
and enter a time in the “Default time per image” field and then select the “Apply” button to change the time
for all selected images.
