remove the cap of the bad piston.
Remove the piston and inspect the seal and
copper ring. Clean the piston thoroughly.
Pay particular attention to the piston
shoulder, and use emery cloth to take out any
scratches.
Once the piston has been cleaned, install a
new seal and copper ring.
Reassemble the piston and tighten down the
cap on the repaired piston
Reconnect the hydraulic hoses and test the
unit.
Clear all material
from the shoulders,
and inspect for
damage.
