This User’s Guide is designed to help you gain the best
performance from your BISSELL ProLite Vacuum. Inside
you will find assembly and operating instructions, safety
precautions, and maintenance and troubleshooting
instructions. Please read through this Guide thoroughly before
assembling and using your vacuum cleaner.

Refer to the Product Diagram in this section to locate and
familiarize yourself with its parts and features. This will be
helpful in assembling the unit and in finding the proper location
of parts when you perform routine maintenance. Additional
diagrams are included in the maintenance and troubleshooting
sections to simplify those tasks.

The ProLite is packaged for convenience and requires minimal
assembly. The only tool you will need is a screwdriver.

Slide the Handle Tube into the Connector Tube, aligning
the hole in the Handle Tube with the molded hole at the
top of the Connector Tube.

Hold the hex nut in front of the Connector Tube in the
hex shaped cavity while inserting the screw with your
finger from the back. Tighten while placing your finger
over the hex cavity to hold the hex nut in place. After
a few turns, tighten further with a screwdriver.
Do not overtighten.

Slide screw through plastic retainer from the inside, and
bag. Slide spacer onto screw and line up with hole in
Handle Tube. Tighten screw.

Remove screw from filter cover. Remove filter cover.
Insert the Connector Plug into the back of the unit at
the rear of the Powerfoot–make sure it is fully inserted.
Replace filter cover. Replace filter cover screw.

Your vacuum cleaner is now ready to use.
