Periodic Tests
The correct function of the safety system is to be periodically checked (e.g. monthly or
according to applicable national regulations). The sensors and their connections are to
be inspected to determine possible mechanical damage.
Once a year the sensor connecting cables are to be disconnected and checked accor-
ding to Commissioning points g) and h).
Start-up Test
A start-up test commences following activation of the “Reset” button or after interrup-
tion of the power supply for a few seconds. This test should, when possible, be
vis ually verified.
Verification by means of LED’s:
– The error indication relay energises
– The red LED “System Error” illuminates for one second
– The red LED “Sensor Error” illuminates for one second
– Both yellow LED’s “Safety Function” illuminate for one second
– Both yellow LED’s “Safety Function” and the green LED “Operation” blink for one
second
– Afterwards the green LED “Operation” illuminates to indicate the operating con-
dition and the signal output relays energise.
