STANDARD MAINTENANCE
The Biodex SRCs are designed to provide many years of dependable use. To help ensure this
product performs to maximum specifications, and to increase the life of the product, please note
the following general cleaning instructions and service procedures.
• As required, clean all exterior surfaces, upholstery and restraining straps. Specialized vinyl
cleaners or protectants are recommended for upholstery and cushions. Otherwise,
use a solution of warm water and mild detergent.
• As needed, wipe the display using a soft rag dampened with alcohol.
BATTERY REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT
(See Figure 3.)
NOTE:
Before proceeding turn OFF power and ensure power pack is unplugged from outlet.
1. Remove the twelve Phillips screws that secure cover. Carefully slide the left cover out of the
way (removing the left side crank arm will make this procedure easier, but is not necessary.
Crank arm removal requires a special crank arm puller, available at most bicycle repair shops.)
2. Remove the battery bracket top Phillips screw.
3. Rotate bracket down.
4. Disconnect power wires from battery connectors, red from red and black from black.
5. Disconnect the battery temperature sensor cable at connector J1 on the power supply board.
6. Remove battery
7. Reconnect power leads, red to red and black to black, on battery terminals and reinstall the
battery temperature sensor cable at connector J1 on the power supply board.
8. Place battery in holder, turn bracket upright (refer to illustration).
9. Insert Phillips screw and tighten both.
10. Install covers and reinstall the twelve Phillips securing screws.
11. Test ergometer operation.
