4 Conformity
4.1 WEEE
The symbol on the device with the crossed-out trash can mean that the device has to be disposed of separately from
the normal household waste at the end of the period of use.
4.2 Battery
If this product contains a permanently attached battery, then for product safety and data integrity reasons this kind of batte-
ry should only be removed or replaced professionally by a qualified repair technician or waste management professional.
This symbol on a product, battery or packaging means that the product and/or battery should never be disposed of
with normal domestic waste. Please do not under any circumstances throw away any of your devices with normal domestic
waste. Ask your local town hall for information on how to correctly dispose of them so protecting the environment against
e-waste. Always respect the current laws regarding waste material. Anyone found violating the environmental laws will be

4.5.1 Intended use
bintec elmeg devices are Internet routers with an integrated telephony system. As such they are intended to provide Inter-
net or remote network access to connected devices (by cable or WLAN) as well as to offer support for telephony connecti-
ons to connected terminals such as, e.g., telephones and fax devices. In order to ensure proper use, make sure to follow
the instructions laid out in the section "Operation" of the security instruction provided in this booklet.
