8. Subsequent
modifications
To change the number of outlets
To increase the number of outlets:
Remove the cover plate and insert an additional pump element (a max. of 20 outlets with single pump
element, a max. of 40 outlets with double pump elements).
To reduce the number of outlets:
Remove pump elements as appropriate and replace by a cover plate (with gaskets).
Note: the outlet of a pump element should never be closed with a plug, since this would give to harmful
pressures.
9. Maintenance
To fill the reservoir
The reservoir should always be topped up in good time. The oil level should never be allowed to drop below
the bottom of the oil sight glass, otherwise air may ve drawn in.
Clean oil only should be used for filling.
Avoid all contamination, ince foreign matter is the most frequent cause of failure and damage.
If air gets into the pump element channels because topping up was not carried out in time, the reservoir
should be filled and a trail run carried out (see point 7).
To clean the filter screen
When dirt accumulates on the filter, remove the filter, clean it with paraffin and blow through with
compressed air.
