inch perhaps more above the tires and using the same screw holes, screwed the seal back. The seal now
presses along the total area of the under-body of the slide-out and I am hoping that this procedure corrects the
water problem. If not, then I plan to install a secondary seal or cover above the tires.
On another note, while I was crawling under the trailer. I noticed that some of the black 1/4 inch material held
up with screws needed to be resealed at the joints. Some time along our journey I noticed some water dripping
out of the back joint so I am assuming it was again road water spraying up while traveling in rainy conditions.
BWZ NOTE: I think I about got the water-on-the-floor problem solved by putting a line of
weather stripping along the line where the slide meets the trailer. Also important is to squeegee
the sides of the wet slide before bringing it in. And, another fix for water on the floor has been
to use a sponge to sop up water in the refrigerator drain tray before traveling.
Closing the Slide Out Room
1)
Be sure there are no obstructions around the slide out room both inside and outside the travel
trailer.
2)
Locate the slide control panel (See above for location of control), and push and hold the “IN”
button until the room is in and comes to a complete stop. Release the button
3)
Replace the travel locks to their original positions – one on each end of the slide out room.
4)
Note: If the travel locks are not in place there will be a slight gap at the top of the room
showing that the seal is not complete. To be sure that the seal is complete on your slide out
room ensure that travel locks are in their original position when the slide out room is closed.
5)
Raise the jacks.
6)
Now the slide out room(s) is in travel position.
MANUAL MODE
In case of an electrical failure, LOCATE AND REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL FROM THE
BELLY PAN. (LOCATED APPROXIMATELY ABOVE THE FORWARD AXEL.) LOCATE
THE DRIVE MOTOR, AND DISENGAGE THE MOTOR WITH THE LEVER LOCATED ON
THE END OF THE MOTOR USING A CRESENT WRENCH. (PULL DOWN TO
DISENGAGE, UP TO ENGAGE.) THE SQUARE DRIVE SHAFT CAN NOW BE ROTATED
TO RETRACT OR EXTEND THE ROOM.
NOTE: Ours seems to be behind the axles, and
was opened by the dealer to turn off the “manual” switch, which allowed the slide to creep out
about two inches every time we got back on the road.
Your slide mechanism is equipped with onboard diagnostics capability. In the event of a system
failure the left LED on the control panel will blink to display several possible error codes. An
error code will not be displayed unless one of the control panel buttons has been pressed. When
an error code is detected, the left LED will begin to flash. The error code can be determined by
counting the number of flashes in between each pause. See the Onboard Diagnostics Key below
for details. The error code will clear itself when the problem is rectified.
