To re-start the machine
press again the ON switch. The machine starts the pre-heating phase of
the heater (blinking red LED) and, once having reached the operating temperature, the ready status
is shown (steady LED).
•
To stop the machine
without awaiting the passage to the automatic stand-by, just press the ON
switch again
.
THE PRE-HEATING TIME VARIES ACCORDING TO THE INAC-
TIVITY TIME OF THE MACHINE AND MIGHT LAST UP TO 50
SECONDS IF IT HAD NOT BEEN USED FOR SEVERAL HOURS.
THE MACHINE ACCESSES THE STAND-BY AUTOMATICALLY
AFTER 10 MINUTES, EVEN IN CASE NO COFFEE IS DISPENSED.
MAINTENANCE
1 ....APPLIANCE CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING IT.
NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE BODY (1) IN WATER OR
OTHER LIQUIDS AND DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DISHWASHER.

To clean the appliance body (1), use a wet cloth but avoid abrasive detergents.

Clean the capsule-holder

lter (4) under a stream of tap water to remove any coffee residue.
•
Regularly empty the drip tray to prevent water leaks from this component and any failure and/or
damage of the machine.
•
Regularly clean the drip tray and the rack using normal dish soap.
•
It is recommended to rinse the tank on a daily base. Never leave water in the tank for more than 5
days or, if it occurs, change water and dispense without capsule before making the coffee.
2 ....DESCALING CYCLE
The normal use of the machine with natural mineral water, both in bottle and from the
tap, entails the formation of limescale.
It is recommended to carry out the descaling cycle every 300 cups of coffee (otherwise
every 3-4 months) and/or when a constant decrease of the dispensed coffee
fl
ow is
noticed.
THE FREQUENCY OF THIS OPERATION DEPENDS ON THE HARDNESS OF WATER USED.
a. Pour a dose of Bialetti descaling solution or equivalent (provided it is not toxic and is
suitable for coffee machines) into the water tank (3).
