Important
Never hold the complete device under
running water to clean it.
When cleaning, ensure that all residues
are removed and dry all parts carefully.
Never use any substances that may be
poisonous when in contact with the skin or
mucous membranes, or when swallowed
or inhaled.
If required, you can clean the device cas-
ing with a slightly damp cloth that has
been soaked in mildly soapy water.
•
If any traces of medical solutions or im-
purities remain on the gold-coloured
contacts on the device and atomiser,
use cotton buds dampened with ethyl
alcohol to remove them.
•
Clean the outside of the mesh and out-
side of the medicine container with a
cotton bud dampened with ethyl alco-
hol.

Before you clean the unit, always switch
it off, unplug it and let it cool off.
•
Do not use abrasive detergents and ne-
ver immerse the unit in water.
•
Ensure that no water penetrates inside
the unit!
•
Do not put the device or accessories in
a dishwasher.
•
Do not touch the unit with wet hands
while it is plugged in; do not allow any
water to be sprayed onto the unit. The
unit must be operated only when it is
completely dry.
•
Do not spray any liquids into the ventila-
tion slots.
Any liquid that penetrates into the de-
vice can damage the electrical parts or
other nebuliser components and impair
the function of the device.
Disinfection
Follow the steps listed below carefully in
order to disinfect your atomiser and the
accessories. It is advisable to disinfect the
individual components after the last time
they are used each day at the latest.
You can disinfect the JIH50 and its acces-
sories in two different ways, either with
ethyl alcohol or in boiling water.
First clean the atomiser and the accesso-
ries as described in the Cleaning section.
You can then continue with disinfection.
Important
Ensure that you do not touch the
mesh (3), as this may destroy it.
Disinfection with ethyl alcohol
•
Pour 8 ml ethyl alcohol into the medi-
cine container (2). Close the container.
Leave the alcohol in the container for at
least 10 minutes.

For better disinfection, shake the unit
gently from time to time.
•
Afterwards, pour the ethyl alcohol out of
the container.
•
Repeat this process, using water this
time.
•
Place the medicine container (2) in a
position that allows you to apply a few
drops of ethyl alcohol to the mesh (3).
Allow the alcohol to work for 10 min-
utes.
•
Clean all parts under running water
again afterwards.
