Replacement of the Optical Switch Assembly
(See Autoarm Assembly)
Remove the feed mechanism assembly.
Mark the location where the grinder motor cable and the feed motor wires enter the spiral wrap
with a piece of tape.
Remove the tie wrap that is closest to the optical switch.
Hold the three cables at the plug end with one hand while un-wrapping the spiral wrap until it is
totally off.
Set the old optical switch aside and lay the cable of the new one next to the other cables so the
optical switch body is the same distance from the marking tape as the old one was.
Start the spiral wrap over all the wires at the end closest to the optical switch and continue
wrapping it around the wire bundle until it is fully on.
Attach a new tie wrap over the spiral wrap about ¼ inch (6mm) from the starting end.
Reinstall the feed mechanism assembly.
