CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE

AIR FILTER

A dirty air filter hinders the passage of air, 

reduces engine power and increases fuel 

consumption. For these reasons it is essen-

tial to clean the air filter on a regular basis.

Follow these steps to gain access to the 

air filter.

•

Pull the cover air filter.

•

Release filter fastener

•

Soundproof shell removal.

•

Pull out air filter 

2

.

•

Thoroughly wash the filter with water 

and soap.

•

Dry the filter.

•

Wet the filter with filter oil and then 

remove the excess oil to prevent it from 

dripping.

WARNING

Do not clean the filter with gasoline or 

petrol.

Never use the vehicle if the air filter is not 

in place. The infiltration of dust and dirt can 

cause damage and considerable wear.

•

If necessary clean the inside of the filter 

box.

•

Replace the filter taking special care to 

ensure the seal of the rubber gasket.

•

Attach filter fastener

•

Apply again the coverage quarter panel

.

WARNING:

After each operation check that no object 

is left in the filter box.

Check the cleaning of the filter any time 

the motorbike is used off road.
