BERNSTEIN products that might be used for the application:
High-level coding (unicode)
●
6075988059 – CSMS-SET-R-H-KA
●
6075988060 – CSMS-SET-R-H-ST
Low-level coding (multicode)
●
6075988067 – CSMS-SET-R-L-ST
●
6075988069 – CSMS-SET-R-L-MA
Application:
Three safety guards will be monitored by three CSMS units.
The individual CSMS will be switched in series.
The safety outputs of the last CSMS will be connected
to a safety evaluation unit.
When installing the first product, the lines Di and Do must
be connected to each other (this does not apply when using
T-adapters, see page 32).
There is no signal feedback from the last CSMS unit to the
first CSMS unit.
2–32 CSMS variant R without additional electronic
safety sensor
Functional test
When all safety guards are closed (after the actuator has
been detected), the last CSMS unit of the series connection
switches on the safety outputs. The function can be verified
by means of the LED displays (for status display of the
blinking pattern see page 32). The instructions for the safety
evaluation unit must be adhered to.

Safety
sensor with
OSSD outputs

●

Low-level coding (multicode)
●
6075988067 – CSMS-SET-R-L-ST
●
6075988069 – CSMS-SET-R-L-MA
Application:
Three safety guards will be monitored by three CSMS units.
The individual CSMS will be switched in series.
The safety outputs of the last CSMS will be connected
to a safety evaluation unit.
A further safety-related sensor with OSSD outputs will be
connected to the first CSMS. The safety outputs of this
sensor will be connected to the inputs I1 + I2/Q3 of the first
CSMS unit.
There is no signal feedback from the last CSMS unit to the
first CSMS unit.
Functional test
When all safety guards are closed (after the actuator has been
detected) and the additional sensor is switched on, the last
CSMS unit of the series connection switches on the safety
outputs. By switching off the additional safety sensor, the same
is done for the safety outputs of the CSMS. The function can be
verified by means of the LED displays (for status display of the
blinking pattern see page 32). The instructions for the safety
evaluation unit must be adhered to.
