Do not insert any objects into the openings of the machine.
•
Always use the type LV1 foot control with the BERNINA Q 20.
•
Do not use the machine anywhere that oxygen or propellant products
(sprays) are being used.
•
Keep fingers away from all moving parts. Special care is required around the
machine needle.
•
When working in the needle area – such as replacing needles, threading the
bobbin thread or replacing the presser foot – set the power switch to «0».
•
Do not use bent needles.
•
Always use an original BERNINA stitch plate. The wrong stitch plate can
cause needle breakage.
•
To disconnect, set the power switch to «0» and then remove the plug from
the outlet. Do not unplug by pulling the cord, instead grasp the plug to pull
it from the outlet.
•
Remove the plug from the outlet if covers have been removed or opened, if
the machine is being oiled or if other cleaning and maintenance work
mentioned in this instruction manual is being carried out.
•
This sewing machine is double-insulated (except in the USA and Canada).
Use only original replacement parts. Note the information on maintaining
double-insulated products.
