Decorative stitches
5.1 Overview Decorative Stitches
Easier or more difficult decorative stitches come into their own depending on the type of fabric.
Decorative stitches that consist of simple straight stitches are particularly attractive on lightweight fabrics.
Decorative stitches made up of satin stitches look especially stylish on heavy fabrics.
For a perfect stitch formation it is of advantage to use the same thread color for upper and bobbin thread
and a stabilizer. With pile or longfiber materials, it is recommended to use an additional, water-soluble
stabilizer on the right side, which can be easily removed after sewing.
