A.

PREPARATION

1.

The Architectural Elite 8 Air Curtain is pre-assembled

with four 5/16” shoulder bolts on the back of the unit

(opposite the perforated intake grill).

2.

Position and center the mounting plate over the

door opening with the larger opening of the key

hole slots facing up.

See Figure 3.

3.

Drill the four holes as marked on the wall and

attach the mounting plate with anchors (if used)

and the four mounting screws (provided by

others).

B.

ATTACHING THE AIR CURTAIN TO THE MOUNTING PLATE

1.

Raise the air curtain with the discharge opening

facing down toward the floor. While holding the

unit level, slide the heads of the shoulder bolts

into the larger hole of the key-hole slots of the

mounting plate.

2.

Lower the unit into place, keeping both ends level,

allowing it to rest flush with the mounting plate.

See Figure 4.

3.

After the unit is securely attached to the mounting

plate, re-install the two (2) locking screws at the

bottom corners.

4.

Do not install the perforated intake grill or the

louvered discharge grill at this time.

5.

Proceed to Section V -

      ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS.

III. WALL MOUNTING

IV. SUSPENDED MOUNTING

A.   For top mounting using suspension rods, four (4) factory

installed 5/16” threaded inserts are located on the top of

the unit.

See Figure 5.

B.

Install 5/16” threaded rods, or other suitable hardware at a

location sufficient support the Air Curtain. The mounting

hardware (supplied by others) must be capable of support-

ing a minimum of three times the net weight of the

Air Curtain.

See Weight Chart, Table 1.

C.   BACK DECORATIVE ADAPTOR – if the air curtain was

ordered with a back adaptor, install the adaptor at this

time.  A maximum of 6” between the wall and intake grill

is required.

See Figure 5.

D.   Attach 5/16” threaded rods, or other suitable hardware to

the top mounted threaded inserts.

E.

DO NOT install the perforated intake grill or the louvered

air discharge grill at this time.

F.

Proceed to Section V -
