6 Preparing the camera for use

Initial setting
You will be prompted to set up the language and the date and time when the camera is
turned on for the first time.
To set up language, date, and time for the
first time:
1. Press .
2. Tap a language to select it. (Tap
/
to find
more languages as needed.)
3. Tap .
4. Tap date format (as indicated on the right) and
select desired date format.
5. Tap the Year icon and tap
/
to select the
correct year.
6. Tap the Month icon and tap
/
to select
the correct month.
7. Tap the Day icon and tap
/
to select the
correct day.
8. Tap the Hour icon and tap
/
to select the
correct hour.
9. Tap the Minute icon and tap
/
to select the correct minute.
10. Tap .
Setting language
This is to select the language version to show on the screen.
To select a language:
1. Tap

> Language.

Setting date and time
You need to set the date and time the first time you use the camera, or when the camera
battery has been removed for a long time.
To set date and time:
1. Tap
>
> Date & Time.
Tap here to set the date format.
