VERTICAL SPEED POINTER
The vertical speed pointer is shown above the zero mark chevron
when the altitude rate is positive, below when the altitude rate is neg-
ative.
In full screen mode, the vertical speed value is displayed when the ver-
tical speed is at least 50 FPM. The vertical speed pointer is blank when
the rate of climb/descent is
≤
-49 to
≥
49 FPM. When the altitude rate is
negative, the vertical speed value displayed in negative.

When the vertical speed exceeds the VSI range, the vertical speed
pointer appears parked at the corresponding end of the VSI.
