TRANSPORT

It is very easy pushing the machine – the free wheels transmission and the front support-wheel give a very smooth

move.

For an easier transport in car boot, you can turn off the handle-bars, after releasing the blocking screw-lever ( see

Pos. A in Pict.3).

STARTING, RUNNING AND STOPPING THE MACHINE

Before starting the engine, you must do the following operations:

Check the fuel level in the tank, opening the fuel cap.

Check the oil level in the engine. IMPORTANT !  The New machine  is delivered without oil.

READ CAREFULLY THE BOOK “USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE ENGINE”

Push  the" PRIMER" for 5 times (only with BRIGGS & STRATTON engine) as shown in Pict..1 Ref.7

Move the accelerator lever to the position Max ( B&S engine) or position START ( HONDA engine) (Pict. 5 Ref.G)

Push down and hold the safety “ Motor Stop” lever- Pict.5 Ref C .

Pull the handle of the starting rope  Pict. 6 .

After starting the engine, move the accelerator to the position “MAX” ( with Honda engine).

In the Types FT530 and FT533, after pushing the clutch lever ( Pos. A in Pict.5), the machine starts moving.

The Type FT 533 has a 3 speed gear box, controlled by a lever on the right hand side of the handle-bar. You

should smoothly move the gear lever (Pos. H in pict. 5), with the  engine  running,  but  the  machine  standing,
( before pushing the clutch lever A).

You can STOP the engine just releasing the RED  MOTOR STOP lever ( Pos. C).

WORKING AND ADJUSTMENTS

The machine FT530 is designed for an heavy duty work, mowing any kind of grass and plants also in wild areas.

The easy adjustment of the mowing height and the possibility of removing the front guard are very helpful for a
professional work.

The machine is suitable for working in tough conditions, on hills and mountains, but without exceeding 50% in

sloping grounds.

The handle bar could be turned at 360°, and adjusted in any position, after releasing the blocking lever ( Pos. A in

Pict.3).

Through the Hand-lever Pos. B in Pict. 5, you can easily adjust the mowing  height. The mowing  height should be

adjusted according to the kind of grass, the ground conditions, and the needs of the operator.

For the first minutes after starting the machine, keep the engine at a medium speed, and be careful and slow in

doing the first manoeuvres.

When the transmission belt is skidding, and th wheels are not turning, with the clutch lever on ( Pos. A in

Pict.5),you should adjust the belt-tightener (Pos. B in Pict.7).

In any case, make sure that the belt (Pos. A in Pict.7), should not be too tight.
