you have not pressed any button in the meantime. See section "Setting power
saving mode / standby time" to set the standby time.
Resetting to factory settings
If you reset the appliance to the factory settings, 40 ml water will be dispensed
for Espresso and 110 ml for Lungo. The standby time is 15 minutes.
The appliance needs to be switched off to reset it to the factory settings (no
button lights up).
Press and hold the Lungo
button for 5 seconds. The Espresso
and
Lungo
buttons flash 3 times in succession to indicate that the appliance
has been reset.
After resetting the settings, the Espresso
and Lungo
buttons flash
slowly to indicate that the appliance is heating up.
Emptying the system
If you do not intend to use the appliance for long periods, we recommend empty-
ing the appliance. This ensures there is no water in the pipes, which would cause
germs or limescale.
The appliance is switched off.
1) Remove the water tank
and empty it.
2) Pull the lever
upwards.
3) Place a cup under the coffee dispenser
on the "Lungo" stand
.
4) Press and hold the Espresso
and Lungo
buttons for about
3 seconds. The Espresso
and Lungo
buttons flash alternately.
The appliance starts the emptying and then switches off automatically.
NOTE
►
The appliance is blocked for 10 minutes after emptying the system. This
means the appliance will not respond to any buttons. If you press a button,
the Espresso
and Lungo
buttons flash to indicate that the
appliance is currently being emptied.
