CONTROL PANEL

Backlighted LCD Display:
When the Digital Coffee Maker is plugged into a 120V
AC electrical outlet, the LCD display will illuminate blue. CLOCK appears to indicate
PRESENT time setting mode. PROG appears to indicate future AUTO brew time setting
mode. 24-hour digital clock with AM/PM.

ON/AUTO/OFF Button:
If pressed once: the coffee maker is ON and starts brewing.
If pressed twice: the coffee maker is on the AUTO mode and will start brewing when the
pre-programmed time is equal to the actual time.
If pressed 3 times: the coffeemaker is OFF

PROG Button:
Press first to set the digital clock’s current time. Press again to program
the AUTO future brewing time. After brewing, press the PROG button a third time to view
TSB (Time Since Brewed).

HOUR Button:
Advances the HOUR. Press to adjust time in hours for digital clock display
and AUTO brew programming. Hold button to fast advance.
5.
MIN Button:
Advances the MINUTES. Press to adjust time in minutes for digital clock
display and AUTO brew programming. Hold button to fast advance.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
CAUTION:
To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the Coffee Maker or allow
power cord to come into contact with water or other liquids.
1.
Remove all packing material and labels from the inside and outside of the Coffee Maker.
Place the u nit on a flat, clean surface. Unused cord may be stored inside the hidden
cord storage area in the back of the unit to keep counter top neat. (See Figure 1.)
2. Before
preparing coffee, thoroughly clean the glass carafe and lid, coffee measuring
spoon, and removable filter holder in hot, sudsy water. Rinse and dry. Replace
disassembled parts. (See Care & Cleaning Instructions for a detailed description.)

Clean the inside of the Coffee Maker by brewing 2 full carafes of tap water (see Brewing
Coffee Instructions following). Do not add the permanent coffee filter basket or ground
coffee for this initial cleaning.
4.
At the end of the first cycle, press the ON/AUTO/OFF button to turn the Coffee Maker
OFF and allow 10 minutes for the unit to cool.
5.
Brew a second carafe of fresh water.
6.
Wait an additional 10 minutes to allow heating element to cool before brewing your
first carafe of coffee.
