CÓMO QUITAR EL SARRO
Se recomienda realizar la limpieza especial de la cafetera al menos una vez por mes, según la
frecuencia de uso y la calidad del agua que se utiliza en la unidad. Si el agua en su área
es particularmente dura, se debe realizar el siguiente procedimiento de limpieza cada 2
semanas, ya que los minerales del agua pueden restarle sabor al café y, posiblemente,
prolongar el tiempo de preparación.
1. Llene la jarra con una parte de vinagre blanco y tres partes de agua fría. Vierta la
solución de agua y vinagre en el depósito de agua.
2. Durante la limpieza, se producirá más vapor que durante la preparación normal.
3. PREPARE LA SOLUCIÓN DE VINAGRE HASTA QUE LA MITAD DE LA JARRA ESTÉ
LLENA. Presione el interruptor ON/AUTO/OFF (Encendido/Automatico/Apagado) para
apagar la cafetera. Cuando el líquido deje de gotear del soporte extraíble del filtro a la
jarra, retire la jarra y deje que el líquido se enfríe durante 10 minutos. Cuando esté frío,
levante la tapa de la cafetera y vierta el líquido nuevamente en el depósito de agua.
4. Cierre la tapa. Vuelva a colocar la jarra sobre la placa térmica.
5. PREPARE LA SOLUCIÓN DE VINAGRE nuevamente, pero deje que toda la solución de
limpieza pase a la jarra. Una vez que se detuvo el goteo, vacíe el contenido de la jarra.
6. Deje que la cafetera se enfríe durante 10 minutos y enjuague preparando una jarra llena
de agua fría. Coloque la canasta del filtro de café permanente en el soporte del filtro
extraíble antes de la preparación.
7. Al final del ciclo de preparación, presione el botón ON/AUTO/OFF (Encendido/
Automatico/Apagado). Vacíe el agua de la jarra. Retire el filtro usado y lave la jarra y
el soporte del filtro extraíble con agua caliente y jabonosa. Seque completamente las
piezas.
8. Una vez que se enfrió la cafetera, limpie el exterior con un paño seco.
INSTRUCCIONES DE ALMACENAMIENTO
1. Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe.
2. Introduzca el cable en el área de almacenamiento del cable que se encuentra en la parte
posterior de la unidad.
3. Guarde el electrodoméstico en su caja original o en un lugar seco y fresco.
4. Nunca almacene la unidad mientras está enchufada.

under cabinets. Make sure the area several feet above the Coffee Maker is clear

6. Do not open top cover while coffee is brewing. Scalding may occur if the cover is
lifted or removed during the brewing cycle.
7. Do not use outdoors.
8. Unplug unit from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow unit to cool
before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
9. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in
water or other liquids.
10. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE UNIT YOURSELF.
THIS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
11. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
12. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Do not let the cord hang over the
edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
13. Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
14. Do not use a cracked glass carafe or a carafe having a loose or weakened handle.
15. Only use the glass carafe with this appliance. Handle with care as
the glass is very fragile.
16. Snap lid securely onto glass carafe before serving coffee.
17. Never use your Coffee Maker without water in it.
18. Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
19. The carafe is designed for use with this appliance.
It must never be used on a range top.
20. Do not set hot glass carafe on a wet or cold surface.
21. Do not clean glass carafe with cleaners, steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.
22. Press the ON/AUTO/OFF button twice to turn the appliance OFF. Unplug the power
cord from the electrical outlet when theappliance is not in use, left unattended,
or when the carafe is empty.
23. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use.
24. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
25. To reduce the risk of fire, do not place any heating or cooking appliance
beneath the appliance.
