WARNING
Prior to vacuuming with the grip han-
►
dle, please check whether the grip
handle and/or the plugged-on acces-
sories have not been damaged.
Do not allow the connecting cable to
►
hang over edges (trip wire effect).
When used for a longer period of
►
time, the appliance can turn hot.
Allow the appliance to cool off before
storing it or carrying out work on the
appliance.
The mains socket has to be easily
►
accessible to enable quick discon-
nection of the appliance from the
electric circuit in the event of an
emergency.
Prior to any work on the appliance
►
and on the accessories, switch off
the vacuum cleaner. Remove the
mains plug from the socket in order
to prevent an unexpected start-up of
the appliance.
CAUTION
Before connecting the appliance,
►
compare the connection data (volt-
age and frequency) on the rating
plate with those of your mains power
supply. The data has to correspond
in order to avoid damage to the ap-
pliance. If in doubt, ask your electri-
cal appliance retailer.
Never immerse the appliance or
►
parts of the appliance into water or
other liquids.
In case of longer operation, pull the
►
connecting cable completely out of
the appliance to prevent overheat-
ing. Do not squeeze the connecting
cable (underneath doors, for ex-
ample), and avoid passing over the
connecting cable with the appliance
frequently.
CAUTION
Do not pull the mains cable to
►
remove the plug from the mains
socket. Always carry the appliance at
the grip handle, and not by the con-
necting cable.
Do not operate the appliance without
►
motor protection filter or dust con
-
tainer.
After every vacuum cleaning, empty
►
the dust container, at the latest, how-
ever, if the dust amount has reached
the "MAX" mark.
Do not expose the connecting cable
►
to heat or chemical liquids.
Do not pull the connecting lead
►
across sharp edges or hot surfaces.
Make sure that the vacuum hose
►
is not overstretched, squeezed or
kinked. A damaged vacuum hose
reduces the cleaning power of the
appliance.
Do not draw up any heavy, hard or
►
sharp-edged objects.
Do not draw in fine dust, such as
►
toner, soot, ash or similar substanc-
es, which may clog the filter. This
may cause a risk of overheating of
the appliance when operated for a
longer period of time.
Do sit or stand on the appliance and
►
do not place any heavy objects on it.
Do not leave the appliance out-
►
side and do not expose it to direct
sunlight or humidity. Do not store
the appliance in the direct vicinity of
heat sources (such as fire, radiators,
fan heaters or other heat radiating
appliances).
