Making Coffee with Coffee Powder
1. Fill the water tank (

) with water (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Filling the
Water Tank”).
2. Open
the
fi
lter compartment (

) to the left.
3. Insert the permanent
fi
lter (

) or a basket
fi
lter paper (see the “Handling and Operation”
chapter – “Inserting the Filter”).
4. Add the quantity of coffee powder you want to the

lter using the measuring spoon (

which is supplied
with the device or another suitable spoon. We recommend one level spoonful for each

ml cup.
Please Note:
The maximum capacity of the coffee bean compartment is 75 g.
5. Flip
the
fi
lter compartment shut. You should feel and hear it click into place.
6. Set the desired brewing option (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Setting the
Brewing Option”).
7. Make sure that the coffee bean function is deactivated and that the

) control lamp is off. If this is not the case, press the
MAHLEN & BRÜHEN
(grinding & brewing) button to deactivate the function.
8. Press

) button to start the brewing process. The operating lamp in the

(brewing time) symbol appear in the
display. Hot water is poured over the coffee powder to brew it.
The time display shows
how many minutes ago the brewing process started.
If the brewing process is to be stopped prematurely, press the
I / O
button. The operating
light goes out and the device is switched off. In the display, the
BRÜHZEIT
(brewing time)
symbol goes out and the display switches to the current time.
9. Press
the
I / O
button to switch the device to the stand-by mode. The operating light goes
out. In the display, the
BRÜHZEIT
(brewing time) symbol goes out and the display switches
to the current time.
Making Coffee with a Preset Time
To make coffee with a preset time, the clock needs to be set (see the “Handling and
Operation” chapter – “Setting the Time”).
1. Prepare the coffee machine, pour in coffee beans or coffee powder,
