1. Fully unwind the connecting cable.
2. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, solid,
fl
at, heat-resistant and splash-proof
work surface. Ensure there is suf
fi
cient clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm to the sides and
30 cm above).
3. Plug the mains plug into a plug socket.
Handling and Operation
Filling the Water Tank
1. Open the lid (
1
).
2. Pour the quantity of water required for the number of cups you want (maximum 8 cups) into
the water tank (
3
).
Only ever use water to make coffee; do not pour milk or other
liquids into the water tank!
3. Close the lid. You must hear and feel it engage.
All of the water in the water tank is always used.
Pouring In Coffee Powder
1. Open the lid (
1
).
2. Insert
the
fi
lter insert (
10
) into the
fi
lter compartment (
8
).
3. Insert the permanent
fi
lter (
11
) or a
fi
lter paper (size 1x4) into the
fi
lter insert.
4. Add the quantity of coffee powder you want to the
fi
lter directly. We recommend one level
coffee measuring spoon for each 125 ml cup.
5. Close the lid. You must hear and feel it engage.
Drip Stop
The device has a drip stop (
9
) which prevents water from dripping out of the
fi
lter compart-
ment
(
8
) when the thermal jug (
6
) is removed from the device.
When the device is in operation, the lid (
1
) must be closed and the thermal jug with the lid (
7
)
placed on it must be placed beneath the
fi
lter compartment. The lid of the thermal jug pushes the
drip stop upwards and the coffee can
fl
ow from the permanent
fi
lter (
11
) through the lid into the
thermal jug.
During the brewing process, the thermal jug
must not be removed
from the main unit (
4
)
for longer than 30 seconds as otherwise the permanent
fi
lter could over
fl
ow.
