Interface description
In the basic configuration, the Panel PC includes the following interfaces:
• Power supply (X101)
• Ethernet RJ45 (X102)
• USB
The voltage socket and the Ethernet interface are located on the rear side in the connection compartment of
the Panel PC (1). The USB interface is located behind a screw cap in the extension plate at the bottom rear
of the housing (2). To access the USB interface, you must remove the screw cap.

If you have installed a mounting arm adapter on the Panel PC, you first have to gain access to the
connection compartment of the device. To do this, follow the steps below as shown in Figure 3:
1. Use a screwdriver to reach into the recesses on the underside of the mounting arm adapter (section A).
2. Bend the cover slightly outwards so that you can push out the latching lugs.
3. Slide the cover upwards off the mounting arm adapter (section B).

You now have access to the connection compartment of the Panel PC (section C).
4. Push the cover back onto the mounting arm adapter from top to bottom until the latching lugs snap back
into place.

3.2.1
Power supply
The Panel PC is supplied with a nominal voltage of 24 V. The power supply and the protective earth of the
Panel PC are connected via the 12-pin round connector (X101). The cable is routed through the mounting
arm adapter. The main supply voltage is applied between pins 5 (0 V) and 6 (24 V). If the Panel PC is
equipped with an integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS), an external battery can additionally be
connected to PIN 1 and PIN 2. The Beckhoff option C9900-U330 is available for this purpose.
