Fan cartridge replacement

NOTE

Incorrect fan type

The Panel PC may be damaged if the wrong type of fan cartridge is installed.

• Replace the fan cartridge exclusively by a cartridge from Beckhoff.

The fan cartridge ensures optimum cooling of the Panel PC. Only order a new fan cartridge from your
Beckhoff Sales.

You can replace the fan cartridge while the PC is running. Insert the new fan cartridge immediately after
removing the old one.

If you look at the device from the back, the fan cartridge is located in the right side of the PC. To replace the
fan cartridge, follow the steps below as shown in Figure 34:

1. Loosen the four M3x6 screws of the fan cartridge (section A).

2. Remove the fan cartridge (section B).

3. Insert the new fan cartridge.

4. Retighten the four M3x6 screws.

You have now replaced the fan cartridge.

The old fan cartridge must be disposed of in accordance with the national electronic scrap regulation.
