The optional RS232 interface includes an M12 socket according to IP65. The interface provides an
asynchronous, serial communication method defined in the RS232 standard.

The optional RS422 serial interface includes an electrically isolated M12 IP65 socket for high-speed serial
data transmission.
The channel features overvoltage protection. If an overvoltage occurs, the channel is switched off.
