MISE EN ROUTE DU GÉNÉRATEUR
1. As surez- vous qu’ aucun appareil n’ est
branché sur le génér ateur .
2. Déplac ez le le vier d’étr angleur du
moteur sur la position « OFF ».
3. P our démarrage à l’ aide du lanceur à
rappel, saisis sez f ermement la poignée
du lanceur à r appel et tirez lent ement
jusqu’à c e que vous per cevie z une
augmentation de la r ésistanc e. T irez
rapidement v ers l’ext érieur.
4. Une f ois le moteur démarr é,
déplacez le le vier d’étr angleur
dans la position « 1/2-CHOKE »
(Étrangleur à moitié ) jusqu’à c e que
le moteur f onctionne normalement,
puis à fond dans la position « ON ».
Si le moteur f aiblit, déplacez le
levier d’ étrangleur dans la position
« 1/2-CHOKE » (Étr angleur à moitié)
jusqu’à c e que le moteur f onctionne
normalement, puis à fond dans la
position « ON ».
Lanceur à r appel
ATTENTION
Lorsque v ous démarrez le mot eur à l’aide du lanc eur à rappel, plac ez
l’interrupt eur à bascule en position « ON » avant de tir er sur la poignée du
démarreur .
Move engine choke le ver to the OFF posi tio n
For Recoil start, firmly grasp the recoil handle and
pull slow ly until increased resistance is felt. Pull
rap idl y up and away.
Recoil Starter
For electric start, tum and hold key in start switch
to "s tar t" position until generator starts.To
prolong the life of starter components, DO NOT
hold key in "start" position for more than 15
seconds, and pause for at least 1 minute between
starting attempts.

When engine starts, move choke lever to 1/2-
CHOKE
position until engine ru ns smoothly and
tren fully
into ON pos itio n. If engine falters,
mwe choke bac k out to 1/2- CHOKE position
pntil engine runs smoothly and then fully into ON
osition .

NOTICE If battery is discharged, use manual
starting in struc tio ns .

NOTICE If engine fires, but does not continue
to run, move choke lever to the OFF position and
rep eat starting instructions.

WARNI NG Starter cord kickback (rapid
retraction) will pull hand and arm toward engine
faster than you can let go which could cause
broken bones, fractures, bruises, or sprains
resulting in serious injury.
When starting engine, pull cord slow ly until
resistance is felt and then pull rapidly to avoid
kic kba ck.
Never start or stop engine with ele ctri cal devices
plug ged in and turned on .

NOTICE If engine failas to start 3 pulls,
or if unit shut down during operation,
make sure unit is on a le vel su rfa ce and check for
proper oil level in crankcase. This unit may be
equipped with a lo w oil protection de vic e. If so,
oil must be checked at proper le vel for engine
to start and run.

Keep at lea st 5 feet (152 cm ) of clea ranc e on all
sides of gen erato r including overhead.
Contact the original equipment manufacturer,
retailer , o r dealer to obtain a spark arrester
designed for the exhaust system installed on this
engme.
Replacement parts must be the same and installed
in the same position as the original parts.

de démarrage .

Si le moteur ne démarr e pas après 3 t entativ es, ou si le générat eur
s’arr ête en c ours de fonctionnement, as surez- vous que le génér a-
teur se tr ouve sur une surf ace plane et f erme, puis v érifiez que le
niveau d’huile dans le cart er-moteur es t suffisant. Ce génér ateur
est peut-êtr e équipé d’un dispositif de prot ection contr e un niveau
d’huile faible . Si c’es t le cas, le niveau d’huile es t vérifié a vant de
démarrer et f aire f onctionner le moteur .
