12.4.
Protect fuel system.
12.4.1.
Fuel additive:
12.4.2.
Fuel will become stale when stored over 30 days. Stale fuel causes acids and gum deposits
to form in the fuel system or on essential carburetor parts.
12.4.3.
Prior to storage, if the petrol has not been treated with a fuel stabilizer, it must be drained
from
the engine into an apporved container.
12.4.4.
Then run the engine until it stops from lack of fuel.
12.4.5.
When fuel stabilizers are used according to their instructions, there is no need to drain the
petrol from the engine prior to storage.
12.4.6.
Run the engine for a short time to circulate stabilizer throughout the fuel system.
12.4.7.
Engine and fuel can then be stored up to 24 months.
12.4.8.
If petrol is drained, the use of a fuel stabilizer in the storage container is still recommended
to maintain freshness.
