12.4.

Protect fuel system.

12.4.1.

Fuel additive:

12.4.2.

Fuel will become stale when stored over 30 days. Stale fuel causes acids and gum deposits

to form in the fuel system or on essential carburetor parts.

12.4.3.

Prior to storage, if the petrol has not been treated with a fuel stabilizer, it must be drained

from

the engine into an apporved container.

12.4.4.

Then run the engine until it stops from lack of fuel.

12.4.5.

When fuel stabilizers are used according to their instructions, there is no need to drain the

petrol from the engine prior to storage.

12.4.6.

Run the engine for a short time to circulate stabilizer throughout the fuel system.

12.4.7.

Engine and fuel can then be stored up to 24 months.

12.4.8.

If petrol is drained, the use of a fuel stabilizer in the storage container is still recommended

to maintain freshness.

12.5.

Storing the engine.

12.5.1.

See the engine operator’s manual for instructions on how to properly prepare the engine for

storage.

You must protect your machine from freezing temperatures.

Failure to do so will permanently damage your pump and render your

machine inoperable.

D

amage

 caused by freezing

is not covered under warranty.

12.5.2.

NOTE: Pump Saver is available as an optional accessory. It is not included with the pressure

washer.

12.5.3.

Contact the nearest authorized dealer to purchase Pump Saver.

12.5.4.

To use Pump Saver, make sure the pressure washer is turned off and disconnected from

supply water.

12.5.5.

Read and follow all instructions and warnings given on the Pump Saver container.

12.6.

Additional storage tips.

12.6.1.

DO NOT store fuel from one season to another unless it has been treated as described in

Protect Fuel System.

12.6.2.

Replace the fuel container if it starts to rust. Rust and/or dirt in fuel can cause problems

if it’s used with this machine.

12.6.3.

Cover the machine with a suitable protective cover that does not retain

moisture.

12.6.4.

Store the machine in a clean, dry and warm area.

Storage covers can be flammable.

DO NOT place a storage cover over a hot pressure washer.

Let machine cool for a sufficient time before placing the cover on

the machine.
