7.Disposal information
[§9 Sec. 2 of the German law on Electrical and Electronical Devices §10 Sec. 3]
Used electrical and electronical equipment should no longer be disposed of together with
unsorted household refuse in accordance with European specifications [1]. It must be collected
separately. The symbol representing a roller-mounted dustbin points to the necessity of
separate collection.
Please help protect our environment, too, and see to it that the present equipment be disposed
of separately in systems provided for this purpose, if you are no longer willing to use it any
further.
In Germany, you are under the legal obligation [2] to place old devices in a container separated
from unsorted household refuse. Public disposal organisations (municipalities) have arranged
appropriate collecting points for this purpose, where old equipment from private households in
your area is collected free of charge. Old devices may possibly be picked up from private
households by legal disposal organisations, too.
Please get information about your local waste disposal calendar, or from your municipal or your
local administration with regard to the possibilities of return or collection of old appliances
provided in your region.
