After Work
After work, move the clutch lever 8 (fig.9/1a) and disengage the PTO using the lever 2 (fig.9/1a);
To stop, move the lever 13 (fig.9/1a) to neutral;
Move the throttle lever 5 (fig.9/1a) to the minimum;
Stop the engine by means of the lever 6 (fig.9/1a) turning the lever in position of “O”;
Before to abandon the machine check if it is locked.
To keep the machine and the engine in good working order, it is recommended that cleaning is
carried out daily and remove dust, mud, leaves, dry or encrusted grass, etc.
Cleaning engine and air filter
IMPORTANT!
To clean the engine and the dry air filter use only compressed air, never wash
the engine with a hydro-cleaner. If the air filter is in oil bath it is necessary to wash and clean
the oil container and redo the level.
Cleaning of the implements
Clean daily the implements used to work by removing mud, dry grass, wrapped rope etc. and
blowing it with compressed air and lubricated as by manual.
Storing the machine
Return the machine to a dry environment, sheltered against bad weather and, if possible, cover
it with a cloth; make sure that the engine and discharge tube are cold.
Start the engine at least every 30 days.
If a prolonged period of inactivity is expected (longer than one month), follow the instructions
contained in the engine instruction book. Grease all the joints.
To protect the engine in case of prolonged inactivity, it is recommended that fuel preservative is
used. This can be purchased from Tracmaster and their authorised dealers.
Following the instructions for the fuel preservative carefully, mix the preservative with the fuel in
the tank, or in the container of fuel, and run the engine for a few minutes.
The preservative prevents sticking of the pump and the injector, is an antioxidant, and maintains
the original features of the fuel keeping it active for a long time.
The protective and preserving effect of the fuel preservative may even last up to 24 months.
Is also recommended for petrol engines because it preserves the fuel for a long time and
protects the carburetor.
