RS485 TELEMETRY 

 
The TX1000 MK2 matrix has a single RJ45 connector that is used to control BBV RS422 telemetry 
receivers or a range of 3

rd

 party receivers and dome cameras via a STARCARD/CONVERTER.  It is 

recommended that a RJ45 breakout box and cat5 patch cable be used to connect to the telemetry 
connector although the breakout box isn’t essential.

When daisy chaining the RS422 telemetry ensure that the end of line receiver has RS422 terminated and 
intermediate receivers are not terminated. 
 
If the system is to be STAR wired then a BBV STARCARD can be used which provides 8 individual RS422 
outputs. 
 
A STARCARD/CONVERTER can be used to allow control of a range of 3

rd

 party domes and telemetry 

receivers with 8 RS422 outputs.
