The hanset will operate up to a distance of 8 to 10 metres (26 to 33 ft) away from the
fire (Depending upon location). If the batteries in the handset become weak it may be
necessary to be close to the fire to operate it. If this happens replace the handset
batteries as in the section headed

Fitting batteries to the remote control handset’ on
page 10.

The handset cannot be turned off. If the dislay screen is empty the handset is either
broken or the batteries need changing. See the section headed
‘
Fitting batteries to the
remote control handset’ on page 10.

The handset must not be placed in a damp atmosphere i.e. where steam or water are
present. In cold weather do not leave the handset by windows where condensation may
form.

Do not drop the handset.
x
It is advisable to put the handset out of the reach of young children, especially if they
are left unattended.

Do remove the batteries from the handset if it is not to be used for long periods.
Room temperature indicator.
Please note that the Room Temperature indicator shows the temperature of the air
around the handset and is intended as a guide for persons who have difficultly judging
temperature. The heater does not contain a thermostat and will NOT adjust itself
automatically.
