Comply with the following safety rules before beginning work:
1. Disconnect the test object.
2. Secure against re-connection.
3. Verify absence of operating voltage.
4. Earth and short all phases.
5. Provide protection against adjacent live parts.
6. Shield all metal parts near the cable route.
