3. No Voltage Regulator Control.
Step 1. Check all wiring for proper connections.
If wiring is not proper, reconnect wiring.
If wiring is proper, proceed to step 2.
Step 2. Check for defective voltage regulator.
If voltage regulator is defective, refer to the voltage regulator instruction man-
ual.
If voltage regulator is not defective, proceed to step 3.
Step 3. Check for defective motor operated control.
If motor operated control is defective, refer to the motor operated control in-
struction manual.
If motor operated control is not defective, proceed to step 4.
Step 4. Measure Synchronizer output contacts with a meter or measure the Synchronizer Vdc
output with a high impedance meter (VTVM or DVM with 1M ohm input) for summing
point output.
If output is defective, replace Synchronizer.
4. SYNC Indicator Illuminates, But Breaker Does Not Close.
Step 1. Check position of TEST/OPERATE switch.
Set switch to OPERATE if in TEST position.
If switch was in OPERATE position, proceed to step 2.
Step 2. Check all sync connections and wiring for proper connections.
If wiring is not proper, reconnect wiring.
If wiring is proper, proceed to step 3.
Step 3. Check for defective breaker.
If breaker is defective, refer to the breaker instruction manual.
If breaker is not defective, proceed to step 4.
Step 4. Replace Synchronizer if the above steps fail to correct the problem.
