Operation
a) Setting up and connecting
The dehumidifier may only be operated on a dry, even and solid surface to prevent
tipping.
•
Make sure the dehumidifier is switched off. The on/off switch (3) may not be in position .
Make sure the water tank (1) is secure in its attachment.
•
Fully unwind the power cable and connection cable.
•
Connect the low-voltage plug (12) to the connection socket 12 V/DC, 6 A (11).
•
Connect the power cable to the socket on power adapter.
•
Connect the power plug (14) to a suitable wall outlet.
b) Switching on/off
•
Switch the dehumidifier with the on/off switch to position . The power indicator
ON
(6) lights
up and the dehumidifier begins dehumidifying. The dehumidifier detects the current room
humidity and shows it on the display (9) after a few seconds.
•
Switch off the dehumidifier after use. The display, power and control indicator go out.
Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
c) Setting the air humidity level
•
The integrated hygrostat regulates the humidity of the sucked-in room air. When the
actual value exceeds the desired humidity value by approx. 5 %, the dehumidifier turns on
dehumidification mode automatically. When the actual value deceeds the desired value, the
dehumidifier turns off dehumidification mode.
•
Use the
(8) or
(10) buttons to set the desired humidity between 20 to 80 % in
increments of 5 %. The set value flashes on the display for a few seconds. The display then
continues displaying current room humidity.
The factory default setting of the desired value is 50 %.
Switching the dehumidifier off and on again using the on/off switch resets the desired
humidity value to the default factory setting.
d)
Emptying the water tank
•
Dehumidification mode is interrupted when the water tank is full.
The power indicator
ON
(6) goes out and the control indicator
FULL
(7) lights up.
•
Switch off the dehumidifier using the on/off switch and unplug the mains plug.
•
Carefully remove the full water tank (1) from the attachment.
•
Remove the plug (16) and empty the water tank via the water outlet.
•
After emptying, reinsert the plug and fully reinsert the water tank to its attachment. The water
tank clicks into place in its attachment.
Make sure that the float (17) (overflow protection) is correctly inserted in the back of
the water tank. Otherwise the water tank may overflow.
Cleaning and care
•
Under no circumstances use aggressive cleanings agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical
solutions since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.
•
Always turn off the device before cleaning and disconnect the mains plug from the mains
socket.
•
Empty the water tank before cleaning (see section “d) Emptying the water tank”). Rinse the
water tank with lukewarm water. Do not use any coarse sponge. Dry well before returning to
the attachment.
•
Use a dry, soft, clean cloth to clean the housing. Do not apply too much pressure to the
housing to prevent scratching.
•
Use a long-haired, soft, clean brush to remove the dust from the air grids (2, 5).
