(2) These items should be serviced by your servicing dealer, unless you have the proper
tools and are mechanically proficient.
Engine Oil Replacement
1. Loosen the oil drain plug.
2. Drain the oil and remove the dipstick.
3. Screw on and tighten the drain plug with seal washer.
4. Reinstall the dipstick.
Spark Plug Cleaning
1. Remove the spark plug cap.
2. Remove the spark plug.
3. Clean (e.g. wire brush) away the carbon build up
4. Measure and adjust the electrode clearance/gap (0.7-0.8mm).
5. Reinstall the spark plug and cap.
Daily and regular inspection is important to ensure safe, proper, and
long term operation of the generator. Refer to the provided regular
inspection table when conducting an inspection and maintenance.
Recommended Engine Oil: 4-stroke gasoline engine oil API Service
Classification SAE 10W-30 equivalent to SJ or better.
In Frigid Temperature (below -15C): 4-stroke gasoline engine oil API
Service Classification SAE 5W-30 equivalent to SJ or better.
