It is possible to define two levels of alarms: alarms 1 and alarm 2. They can be configured
completely independently.
In the field “Based on”, the alarm can be activated on the trigger or on the background recording. In
the following, let us analyze the two situations separately.
Trigger recording
Figure 5.4.3 shows the possibilities for the choice of the alarm limit, when the alarm has been
selected on the trigger recording. The possibility are:
Level
User defined
In case of “Level”, a threshold level for the 3 channels must be defined. The alarm is triggered if at
least one of the three axes exceeds the limit value.
In case of “User defined”, a curve can be defined by the user, by inserting up to eight points for
each channel. The acceleration limit can be defined depending on the frequency. In other words,
the maximum peak and the relative dominant frequency constitutes a unique point to be placed on
the graph and to be compared with the limit curve.

Once chosen “User-defined”, clicking on “Edit” in the field “Settings” leads to another window,
