Manual interface recognition
Use the original USB cable to connect the PEGASUS to the USB port on the computer.
(The PEGASUS must be switched on and may not be in suspend mode

press any
key to turn on). In the "Interface" field the virtual serial connection which is assigned to
the USB connection and "accept" must be selected to produce a connection to the
PEGASUS.


Once a connection has been established successfully, the bar under "port" flashes
green.


Click on the " Read device configuration " button to read the current PEGASUS
data into the phonebook software.

Use the BARTEC original USB cable to connect the PEGASUS to the USB port on
the computer (the PEGASUS must be switched on and must not be in suspend
mode

press any key). In the "Interface" field the virtual serial connection which
is assigned to the USB connection and "accept" must be selected to produce a
connection to the PEGASUS.


Use the "Server settings" button to enter the IP address and the port.
(Default settings in the PEGASUS: BARTEC server 62.159.150.38 port 3333)
Note
The "Server settings" field is only relevant if the PEGASUS has an online tracking
function.


Select the "preferred GSM band" in the relevant field.
To enable as fast a connection as possible to the GSM network, select the GSM band.
EU: Frequency range 900/1800 MHz
US: Frequency range 850/1900 MHz


Your own call number
- Enter the telephone number for the device.
- Save by clicking on the “Accept” button.
- The number can be displayed on the device. (see chapter 5.2)
