8. Fuel System Bleeding
DANGER:
DIESEL FUEL IS FLAMMABLE AND EXPLOSIVE UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
WARNING:
DIESEL FUEL IS HARMFUL TO SKIN. MAKE SURE THE RELEVANT PERSONAL
PROTECTION EQUIPMENT IS WORN.

Ensure the fuel tank is at least ¾ full prior to undertaking this procedure.

9. Cooling System
DANGER:
SCALD HAZARD!
NEVER REMOVE THE COOLANT PRESSURE CAP IF THE ENGINE
IS HOT. STEAM AND HOT COOLANT WILL SPURT OUT AND SERIOUSLY BURN YOU.
TIGHTEN THE CAP SECURELY AFTER BEING REMOVED. STEAM CAN SPURT OUT
DURING ENGINE OPERATION IF THE CAP IS LOOSE.
WARNING:
BURN HAZARD!
WAIT UNTIL THE ENGINE COOLS BEFORE YOU DRAIN THE
ENGINE COOLANT. HOT ENGINE COOLANT MAY SPLASH AND BURN YOU.

To check the coolant level, ensure that the engine has been shut down for at least half
an hour.
•
The coolant level can be checked visually and should be between the two level marks
formed on the front of the white plastic expansion tank.
