The BD7 will manually cut specimens up to 1-3/16" (30mm) in height and has a 14" (356 mm) x 14"
(356 mm) self-aligning tabletop.
Blade Lubricate
Approximately 1/3 gallon (1.3 liters) of lubricant is required to adequately cover the bottom of a 7-inch
(178 mm) blade. See Figure 5 for proper lubricant level.
The use of petroleum or vegetable based mineral oil is recommended as a lubricant/coolant for
the BD7.
NOTICE: Water can be used as a coolant but does not afford the same blade lubricant properties
as petroleum or mineral oil. If water is used a water soluble additive such as Rock Cut
or Smokey's EZ Cut synthetic water based cutting agent can be used as these addi-
tives promote longer blade life than only water alone and have rust inhibiting proper-
ties. Always drain cutting fluid (water, water with additive) daily as oxidation (rust) of the
diamond blade steel core will result if left in a water or water/additive solution inside the
saw tank.
UNPACKING
The BD7 Trim Saw has been carefully packaged for protection during transit from the factory to your
location. The blade has been factory installed and the arbor nut securely tightened. No assembly is
required.
If any components are missing or damaged, save the packing list and materials and advise Barranca
Diamond and the carrier of any discrepancies.
