each procedure. The battery charge level may be checked by pressing the
“SAMPLE”
button while
the driver is not loaded with a biopsy probe and is not in the charging stand (Figure 2). If the battery is

indicator light will continuously illuminate red for 5 seconds and the driver must be charged. If the battery
is completely discharged, the battery light will not illuminate and the driver must be charged.
To charge the driver, follow these instructions:
1. Ensure the appropriate adapter plug is connected to the AC power adapter.
2. Connect the AC adapter cord to the charging stand.
3. Plug the AC power adapter into a power source. If the AC power adapter has current, the green
power light on the rear of the charging stand will immediately illuminate green and remain
illuminated.

5. Once the battery is fully charged, the battery indicator light will continuously illuminate green. A
completely exhausted battery will require approximately 120 minutes to fully charge. After every use
or when the driver is not in use, the driver should remain in the charging stand to keep the battery
adequately charged. A regulator restricts overloading the battery.
NOTE: Use only with supplied AC power accessories. Removing the AC adapter from wall power
shall serve as isolation means. Do not position the AC adapter and charging stand such that it is

NOTE: If during a biopsy procedure the battery indicator light illuminates orange, the battery

starting another biopsy procedure.
NOTE: Do not pull up or out on the driver when removing it from the charging stand. Rotate the
driver on and off of stand pivoting on bottom of charging stand as shown in Figure 10. Improper
loading of driver on and off of charging stand may result in damage to the driver or charging
stand.
