- If the dot is still visible and bright:
- For R or B dot, go to 50% gray level;
- For G dot, go to 30% gray level;

- If the dot is still visible (G at 30% gray level, R or B at 50% gray level) it counts as a bright dot;
- Otherwise it counts as a dark dot.

Step 4
A dot that is identifiable at 100% white background as a dark dot (R, G, and B) counts as an OFF dot.

Definition of uniformity defect
While operating the LCD panel, if a certain area is remarkably brighter or darker, this is considered a uniformity
defect.
However, extraneous substances which can be wiped off like fingerprints or particles are not considered a uni-
formity defect.
