BURNER CONNECTION TO THE BOILER
AND CONNECTION TO THE GAS PIPELINE
The burner is equipped with a sliding connection flange on the
combustion head.
When connecting the burner to the boiler, it is necessary to correctly
position the flange so that the combustion head enters the furnace
to the extent specified by the boiler manufacturer.
When the burner has been correctly connected to the boiler,
proceed with connecting it to the gas pipeline (see 8780).
The gas supply pipe must be suitably sized for the pipe length and
gas supply according to the regulations in force. It must be perfectly
airtight and should be properly checked before testing the burner.
It is essential to install on this piping, near the burner, a suitable
connector to allow an easy disassembly of the burner and/or the
opening of the boiler door.
FOR BURNER WITH DUNGS GAS VALVE model MB......
The DUNGS valve mod. MB...... valve incorporates a filter and a
gas pressure stabilizer and, therefore, only a shut-off valve and an
anti-vibration joint have to be fitted onto the gas supply pipeline
(see 8871).
Only if the gas pressure is higher than the minimum level permitted
/400 mm A.C.), a suitable pressure reducer must be installed on the
gas pipeline outside the heating plant.
We recommend installing an elbow directly on the burner gas train
before fitting the detachable coupling.
This layout makes it possible to open the boiler door, if there is one,
after the coupling itself has been opened (see 8871).
HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS (DIESEL FUEL)
The burner tank connection pipe must be perfectly airtight. It is
recommended to use copper or steel pipes of a suitable diameter
(see tables and drawing).
At the end of the rigid pipes, fuel shut-off gate valves must be
installed. Filter, flexible hoses and connection nipples are supplied
with the burner.
The pump is provided with specific connections (see figure) to fit
control instruments (manometer and vacuum gauge). For a safe and
silent operation, the suction vacuum cannot exceed 4.6 m C.A., that
is to say 35 cm Hg. Max. pressure on suction and return 1.5 bar.
