ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Electric lines should be placed at an adequate distance from hot
parts. We advise you to carry out all connections by using flexible
electrical wire, with a section suitable for the available voltage and
absorbed power.
Maximum absorbed power = 600 VA
Supply line minimum section = 1.5 mm

FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS TO
START A MIXED BURNER
It is advisable to first carry out the start-up with liquid fuel, because
in this case the delivery is conditioned by the used nozzle,
whereas methane gas delivery can be varied as you like using the
corresponding flow rate regulator. In the case of an automatic burner,
the fuel change switch operates on a cyclic relay which activates the
components for the use of both fuels (valves, pressure switches,
pump etc.) thanks to an auxiliary relay. It takes about 10 seconds for
the cyclic relay to carry out its program. It is therefore necessary to
leave it in this position to for at least 10 seconds, after moving the fuel
change switch from gas to diesel fuel or vice versa. This condition is
necessary to allow the cyclic relay to carry out its program.
!
If the switch is moved from a position to the other before the
period of 10 seconds, the cyclic relay stops in the middle of
its program not allowing to use the burner with both gas and
diesel fuel.
PREPARATION FOR DIESEL
FUEL IGNITION
Make sure the fitted nozzle, with a spray angle of 60°, is suitable
for the boiler capacity.
The table shows the delivery values in kg/h of diesel fuel depending
on nozzle size and pump pressure (generally 12 bar). Note that
1 kg diesel fuel provides 10,200 kcal. Make sure the combustion
mouth enters the combustion chamber as required by the boiler
manufacturer. Make sure that the return pipe to the tank has no
clogging, e.g. closed gate valves, plugs, etc. Any obstacle would
break the sealing element placed on the hose or on the pump shaft.
Open the air venting device installed on the pump, loosening it by
a few turns.
Disconnect the wire powering the pump motor and connect it,
temporarily, to the terminal No. X1.56 of the "input terminal board"
to feed the pump motor.
Close the switch on the burner and the main switch and make sure
that rotation direction is correct. The pump motor is activated and
starts the diesel fuel suction pump.
When diesel fuel flows out of the air venting device, open the main
switch to stop the motor.
Restore the original connections to the corresponding terminals.
The burner is now ready for diesel fuel operation.
